Map marker is being resized on map.

I am trying to: Display a SMALL map marker on a map. I have created a transparent PNG 14 x 14 px and uploaded it to maps settings and media and use it as a map marker in a view. everything was fine before but in the last update something must have happened. Now the marker image is resized to 48 x 48 px , it seems.

I expected to see:
The markers in the correct size.

Instead, I got: Marker displays oversized.

I tried this on a discover demo site and you can see the same thing happening there. So it seems to be a bug or there's a new setting for marker size that I haven't found yet.
