[Resolved] Map Field show only a point in Pacific Ocean, even if the field is correct

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user's map isn't showing any markers and just showing the ocean.

Solution:
The issue here is usually because of the API key. If your api key has a restricted referrer then it may not work. What you can try doing is to remove the restriction from the API and try again.

Map Field show only a point in Pacific Ocean, even if the field is correct.
It means that we edit the field and Toolset Maps recognise the point on map.

I am trying to:
show map with static latitude and longitude shortcode and it works.
show map with static address shortcode and it doesn't works.

attached a screenshot of my shortcode in the layout.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see:
the address written above the map

Instead, I got:
a point in Pacific Ocean.

Hi Danilo,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

It should now be working, what I did was to remove the marker and then re-add it and the icons started showing up.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks,
Shane

Hello,

thank you for quick reply. We made some tests and the issue is not completely fixed.

When we try to write any address in "address field" it seems to doesn't work.

The only way to work is writing the coordinates, like in attached image. But when we write an address it end to work.

We need to give our users to write address in tour creator form, so it has to bring coordinates from address.

Also we further want to show all the Halts pin in a tour.

Could you please why writing an address it doesn't show the map, the address field work well.

Thank You for your time

Hi Danilo,

So you're saying that when you add the address it doesn't work, however when you use the coordinates it works ?

Could you provide me with one of the addresses that don't work.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi,

yes, but we doesn't have a problem with 1 address, all the addresses we test doesn't show on map.

One example is
Via Roma, 66020 Sambuceto CH, Italia

Maybe we make a wrong sequence of action to retrieve an address on google map.

Hi Danilo,

Are you currently using a restricted API Key ?

If so could you try using this one AIzaSyB0KhffiMteHVLTmx5bdgG4_m2gI5YAFgw as sometimes issues like these will occur when there is restricted API key and google is unable to validate the URL.

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane
