[Resolved] Map directory listings duplicating when using custom markers

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I have a map View that displays custom markers, and a list of results outside the map. Each of the results appear 4 times.

Solution: Check the Loop editor, it looks like the Content Template is placed in 4 different spots.

I've created a directory listing site that has different markers for each parent category. The map is working really well but the listings underneath are duplicating for some reason. There are only 3 listings up at the moment but each is displayed 4 times. hidden link

This seems to be because there are 4 categories populated (two parent categories and two sub categories). Is there any way to stop this duplication and still show custom markers?

Kind Regards,
Orla

Hi, if you check the archive loop editor, you can see that the archive-general template shortcode is included four times. None of those template shortcodes is inside a conditional statement, so that's why they are all displaying in the results. In my opinion, you should remove all but the last one:

[wpv-post-body view_template="archive-general"]

The other ones are unnecessary, and causing duplication. Hope this makes sense.

I don't know how many times I looked over that archive and just did not see those additional shortcodes - toolset blindness :-D. Thank you 🙂
