Hello

We installed Types under PHP 8 and get many deprecated notes. Is PHP8 not supported yet?

Thanks
Aldo

Hi Aldo,

Thank you for getting in touch.

We have yet to announce php 8 compatibility so there will be some issues. I know that we have a few errors with views and our forms plugin.

Can you let me know what messages are being displayed for Types? and are they only being thrown for our Types plugin ?

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane

Hi Sahne

Thanks for getting back.

This is one of them:
Deprecated: Required parameter $field follows optional parameter $post in /home/httpd/vhosts/mch/devch/site/web/app/plugins/types/vendor/toolset/types/embedded/includes/api.php on line 405

Thanks
Aldo

Hi Aldo,

Thank you for the information. As these are just notices they shouldn't cause any issues with functionality.

However I wouldn't recommend running on php version 8 just yet as our development team hasn't announced php 8 compatibility.

I did do a small test on a site I had here locally on php version 8.0 and there wasn't any notices present but I still wouldn't advise using php version 8 just yet.

Thanks,
Shane
