Yes, just the persons page. They most likely won't have user accounts, and some of the people are dead anyway.

Also, there will be many, many instruments, so maybe a multiselect would be better?

Great - you should try to add another song to same person and you will see it will be listed on the person page.

For multiselect - only the checkboxes field type is available and supported for now, as you can see its already configured.

I am not sure what is wrong, but I can't get this to work, for instance, I can't filter by tracks-persons relationship, but it's created.

I can't get this to work. Not sure why. It only shows tracks composers relationship which is different.

I think this is close to done. The only annoyance is that you can't add checkbox options while adding a person. I'm not sure it's possible, but if it is, that would be fantastic. I also, don't think there is a need for the single field instrument?

Yes - if you dont need single field instrument, you can edit the post-relationship and remove the field from the intermediary post type.

As the checkboxes field is added to intermediary post type it wont be available on single person or single track edit page. It will be available only on relationship box add/edit.
