I have another question regarding post-forms. Is it possible to not only make single line text boxes a mandatory field?

hidden link

I would like to make some of the custom fields mandatory when filling the form as well.

Hi Andy,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Was this custom field created in Types ? If so then you can set the field as required in Types and this requirement should carry over to the frontend form.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,
I created the custom fields with the Toolset Plugin, yes. When opening custom fields and opening the custom fields for the specific post type, I can make each field mandatory, but I thought this means, that field has to be filled before a post of this post type can be published? Or does this mean, that the field will be mandatory if used in post forms? Or both?

If both, would it be possible to only make the field mandatory for the post form and not for creating a post?
