[Resolved] Make parent taxonomy entries in dropdown menu bold

This support ticket is created 3 years, 10 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

the white space issue is resolved. Thanks very much for your help. I have another small issue that I might ask here as well? I found this thread https://toolset.com/forums/topic/make-parent-entries-in-taxonomy-dropdown-menu-bold/ and I have the same request from my client. Is this still the same situation today?

Yes, it is still the case that select field options are styled by the browser/OS and not easily adjusted with CSS. Advanced understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS would be required to implement something more custom here, like a filter replacement system. There is no public JavaScript API for Toolset's custom search filters, so it would be quite difficult to implement something like this in a way that is fully compatible with Views.
