We have custom type 'Productions'

'Productions' have people involved in them; Cast (Actors), Back Stage Teams, Band etc - all of whom will be WP Users/Members.

How can I allocate people to a production easily - preferably from the Production's edit page?

People can appear in multiple roles in a production both on and/or off stage.

He is a 4 min video of how we do it CURRENTLY, with our 14 year old website so you can see what we 'need' to do.

Here is a production page on the NEW site that is in development.

You'll see the director appears and the top AND in the Cast and Creatives tab

Hi, it looks like you want to link posts and Users. The most flexible way to relate Users and posts is to use a proxy post type and Toolset's post relationships. We have information about that available here: https://toolset.com/documentation/post-relationships/how-to-create-custom-searches-and-relationships-for-users/

This process will give you the ability to create custom searches and relationships for Users, which aren't generally possible in WordPress.
