Hi , I am try to find my feet with tool set , I have tried to follow on line tutorials with little effect as the version being demonstrated is a Previous version and therfor loses me in the first few seconds and I stop, frustrated and go back to ACF pro

I have few questions ....Ok a lot of questions

So my first one is

How do I get "Officially" up to speed and to be able to get the knowledge and skills to migrate my site(s) to toolset?
At each try I just get frustrated and stop, so any progress is slow...
Types Views ???? loops just no idea what to use

Along the way, it will give you all the necessary information to get started with Toolset.

It will take time to finish the course but is time spent well.

I find TRYING to create a template THE most frustrating Experience I have had with software in a VERY long time

I have a template I created with acf pro and YoothemePro 3.xx I will admit spending a lot more time with yootheme , BUT
The simple things are just so hard to do in toolset !!!

For example a two column table with manually entered names in the first , and a dynamically assigned value adjacent to it is just so ridiculously hard in Toolset , but so easy in yoothemePro(They call it a description list).. now add the fact that is is possible with yootheme to show or hide values dependant in the values of column 2 (Dynamic data) , if it has data or is blank, so certain rows “disappear” if blank

All the above on my current system takes about 2 minutes
Using toolset I have spent DAYS and can get nothing similar at all

There is NO mention of the way it is possible to apply and convert ACF Pro fields into tool set < this is something I just experimented with

There is a HUGE amount of undocumented button and switches in tool set !!!!

The whole process is maddening , to the point that I give up and stop trying to convert my “old Layout” , using toolset
I have tried the tutorials but not every screen shown in the videos or screen shots is that same as the current version , or |IF they are , there is no way to “reset” to default any settings I have experimented with ???

Thank you for your feedback. I will inform the development team about the feedback.

In the reply, you mentioned ACF Pro fields and you asked how to convert them.

Please consider that Toolset is not compatible with ACF Pro and you need to use Toolset custom fields to add the ones that will work with Toolset.

I think you have misunderstood I have found a way of doing it , nut I can NOT find any documentation to support it!!???

Hi there,

It seems that we do not communicate well here.

I repeat, Toolset IS NOT compatible with ACF. If you found a way to do that it is not an official functionality of Toolset.

If you want to use Toolset you need to have the Toolset custom fields.

Now if you have specific question about a feature that you can not find documentation for, I will be happy to help.
