I am trying to: Display "The Events Calendar" output on my Toolset site.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: The Events Calendar's plugin output

Instead, I got: The Toolset "create a new layout" page

The Events Calendar intends to produce its output on /events/, but Toolset sees this as a post type archive that does not have a template. If I create a Post Type Archive template within Toolset, that seems to conflict with what The Events Calendar is attempting to do, and I cannot get any output on the page.

Strangely, I do get content on this page: hidden link - which is automatically generated by the Events Calendar Community Events add-on - without having done anything.

Upon more thorough searching of prior support topics I found this page and have a rough solution in place, based upon the steps offered by the user. Not sure if this is precisely what I need, but it's definitely a step in the right direction.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - we already have feature request to make "The Events Calendar" plugin compatible with Layouts. As you may know, Layouts focuses on the_content() and "The Events Calendar" uses different function to display the content.

For now, only way is to follow the steps/solution user mentioned in the ticket you shared:

you need to wait bit more until we implement this feature but please note that there is no ETA on it.
