[Resolved] Layouts Plugin not showing after I install it.
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The issue here is that the user's Layouts plugin disappears after update.
Solution:
In a case like this I would recommend that you remove the layouts plugin and perform a manual reinstallation of the plugin by downloading it from your accounts page below. https://toolset.com/account/downloads/
This support ticket is created 6 years, 3 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.
This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.
Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I expected to see: This page was built with the Layouts Plugin but I no longer see any of the options to edit the page in layouts.
Instead, I got: I no longer see any of the layout options to build any pages. I also do not see the plugin after I install it. I tried to install it again but the folder already exists. How do I get the Layouts tool back? I've cleared by catche on my browser
This is unexpected, if the Plugin was there installed, it cannot be removed unless deactivated and uninstalled (manually)
Now, to solve this, please remove all Toolset Layouts Folders from the Plugins Folder in your FTP WordPress Install.
Please backup the site before that, even if no data will be lost.
Then download a new Layouts from here: https://toolset.com/account/downloads/
Upload that manually to the Plugins folder and unzip it on the server, then activate the plugin in the plugin area.
If that does not work please check with no other plugins and a native Theme, and as well enable WP Debug to see if there are any errors. https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG
Hi
I wanted to update you that your solution worked. But today when I went to go update the Layouts Plugin it did the same thing over again. It showed that there was an updated available, failed to update, and now Layouts no longer shows up on my pages and it is gone from the plugins list. I will follow the same steps you gave me above; but I think there is something wrong with the layouts plugin..
Thanks
Hi Shane
Yes if I manually delete and then re-install the plugin it does fix it.
I just need to avoid updating all Toolset plugins as each time I do it breaks my site.
