Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
First of all - Toolse Layouts plugin is in maintanance mode and we are not going to add any new features to it, only bug fixes and even if bug is found there could be a possible low priority.
Howver - if you still commited to use Layouts - there is no harm in that. I see you are using number of third-party plugin In order to minimize the cause of the issue.
Could you please try to resolve your issue by deactivating all third-party plugins as well as the default theme to check for any possible conflicts with any of the plugins or themes?
- Do you see any difference when only Toolset plugins active or with default theme twentytwenty?
Thanks. May I know which version of the plugin works? And also I wonder if we are allowed to copy the website to our server by installing the Cloudways Migrator plugin for further investigation?
I should agree with my colleague Minesh, that the layouts plugin is in a maintenance mode and we strongly suggest that you switch to Content template and views.
I created a new WordPress installation 6.8+ and Toolset and Toolset layout latest version. You can login here:

I tried a layout and it seems to be working ok:

But would you please check and maybe I miss something?
Just to make sure we are on the same page, even if you manage to replicate the issue on the installation and I report this, it might have a low priority for the development team as this plugin is in a sunset/maintenance mode.
I am currently using Toolset Layouts version 2.6.17, and all other Toolset plugins are up to date. However, I’m experiencing an issue — Toolset elements are not opening in the backend.
You can check this issue here:

Troubleshooting steps I have already tried:
Deactivated all other plugins and kept only Toolset plugins active.
Switched to a basic WordPress theme (default theme) and checked again.
Unfortunately, the issue persists. Please advise how I can resolve this.
Would you please test if the issue happens if you add a new layout? I want to know if this is happening on all the layouts that are added newly or it is only happening on a layout that is created in older versions.
Also, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.
Make sure you set the next reply as private.
If it is only happening on an older layout please give us the name of the layout.
Thank you for the login information. In the staging website I went to Toolset > Settings and enabled the Legacy mode to show the views.
There I found out that the layout row which you used is not linked to the view.
If you check now you can see that the row shows the view now and you can set the posts as you like.
Alternatively you can go to Toolset >Views and find which view was used and add the view as a row in the layout.
To enable the legacy views:
- Go to "Toolset > Settings > General".
- Find the "Editing experience" section.
- Check the "Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build" checkbox.
- Reload the browser page.
- Go to the newly added "Toolset > Views" menu.
- There you will be able to edit the views.
