Hi.

I've created an editor role for a specific language. I am using Toolset Access and WPML to do so. All seems to be working fine, except the Media library - The language editor account can't see the link to the Media Library in the admin section, nor they can select or upload any media when creating new content (post, page).

I am attaching screenshot of the Access settings for the editor user, the user also has the 'upload_files' permission set separately.

Hi Filip

Did you follow the specific steps in the WPML documentation to set this up?

https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/how-to-use-access-plugin-to-create-editors-for-specific-language/

That describes setting up individual user permissions for the post type, not user roles, and you may need to do the same for the media post type (set up the specific user as the documentation describes for the custom post type).

I can try what is described in the documentation on a test site, but it sounds like you have done something a little different than is described.

Hi Nigel.

Thanks for your answer, however non of the published manuals works. I tried both assigning a specifically created role for a language, and I also assigned the user the permission manually as it's mentioned on the link you provided. Non of these worked.

The user can see the posts/pages in his language, but can't even publish any post/page. Not to mention, they can't access the WP built in media library or upload any media item.

Maybe I should re-phrase what I'd like to do:
I just want to create a user, which can then manage/create posts/pages/media in his language. Not specifically tight to any other language on a site.

By setting the WPML and Access it seems it worked, however, the user can't access media. When creating a page or post, they can access the form, but whenever hit the `Publish` button, only a message that they can't publish appears.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Nigel.

I just updated WPML and Toolset to the latest versions, disabled & re-enabled all permissions, and suddenly it appears all to be working 😉

Thanks.
