Hi Perry,

Thank you for getting in touch.

The issue could be that the URL is being added incorrectly. Would you mind allowing me to have admin access so that I can check to see why the key isn't working.

Thanks,
Shane

It might be because I've installed Toolset in a subfolder?

I'll be using toolset on various language variations (separate WP installs), but hosted on the same domain.
But that would mean I need a license upgrade, because Toolset counts the number 'Sites' and not the number of 'Domains'.

Hi Perry,

Can you try following the instructions in the link below exactly in order to generate your URL for the correct key.

https://toolset.com/faq/how-to-install-and-register-toolset/#automatic-installation-once-you-have-types-plugin-installed

Particularly #3

If this still doesnt help please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane

This works, but it registered the site and not the domain, so this means I need to upgrade right?

Hi Perry,

Actually you won't need to upgrade because the key will allow you to automatically update the plugins through wordpress itself. However since you have an active account you can still download the plugins manually from our site to perform the updates on the sites that are not registered.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

Cheers, so for the other subfolders/subdomains I can ignore "You are using an unregistered version of Toolset and are not receiving compatibility and security updates." and eventually just upgrade (now just saving costst) so it will auto update from within WordPress.

Best,

Perry

Hi Perry,

That is correct because the plugins will still function normally without the key, just that they won't get the automatic updates. This can be worked around by manually updating the plugins.

if there are no further queries you an go ahead and mark this ticket as resolved when done.

Thanks,
Shane
