[Closed] Jquery script occasionally stops working

This support ticket is created 2 years, 10 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

We have experienced this issue at various times in the past as relating to a previous support request - https://toolset.com/forums/topic/jquery-code-which-previously-worked-has-suddenly-stopped/

So the issue is that we have a Jquery script which formats numbers using thousand separators as the user is typing into certain fields on this page hidden link and it works fine, however every now and again I notice it's stopped working and this is generally when I've been working on this view making other changes but I've not touched any of the Jquery stuff at all.

If I then remove the code and paste it back in again then it starts working again. I actually have two versions of the code, the only difference between the two being that one has line breaks in certain parts of the code and the other doesn't, but both work when I paste them in afresh. I seem to have to alternate between the two as the Toolset interface senses that no changes have taken place if I merely remove then repaste the same code, so I can't save the page as it thinks there is nothing to save. If I paste in the alt version of the code, however, then it allows me to save and the script works once more.

it's very strange, almost like something is being parsed when I'm saving the page (as it only seems to stop working if I've made other changes to this view, even changes which are minor and are nothing to do with the jQuery) and the fact that the very same code starts working again merely by pasting it back in is strange.

Any ideas what might be going on?

I could not able to see the form with the problem URL you shared.

Can you please share admin access details and tell me what jQuery code you added exactly where?

I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
