Hi Harry,
Not sure what is happening here, however non of this code would be responsible for changing your user's role.
The custom code that was added is only to update the posts and not the user.
What user role is your admin account switched to ?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane
After trying to create a message the role of the administrator was changed in blank. In the database there was no user role anymore.

Hi Harry,
I've tested the messaging system and there was no issue on my end with the user account losing its role.
What happens if you disable all the non-toolset plugins. Does the same issue occur ?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane
I removed all the non-toolset plugins, it didn't help. Now I removed the messaging module and all the pages, views, code that was written. Everything works fine again. But no messaging

Hi Harry,
Could you setup everything as it was with the issue and then provide me with a copy of your site so that I can test here locally ?
As the issue does not occur for me on any of my local test sites so it seems to be an isolated problem.
To provide the copy please follow the instructions in the link below.
https://toolset.com/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/
Thanks,
Shane
