hi I created a custom type, and linked to this also the custom fields.
I tried to create the new layout for the page, using divs, but the custom fields are not shown.
Where is the mistake?

Hi Filippo,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Would you mind allowing me to have admin access to the site so that I can have a more detailed look at this for you ?

I've enabled the private fields for your next response.

Please send me a link to the template that you're adding the custom fields to.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Filippo,

I'm assuming the correct IP is 94.23.194.192//

However if its not can you send me the correct IP to add this domain to my host files.

Thanks,
Shane

Yes, it is. The correct ip is 94.23.194.192
In the windows's hosts file you shoud add in the form

94.23.194.192 domain
94.23.194.192 hidden link

Without the // at the end

Hi filippo,

I've added the IP and URL to my host file, however the login page is saying the username is unknown.

Can you check to see whats wrong and if they work for you.

Thanks,
Shane

If you ping that hostname, do you see the correct ip?
Also, if you open a private field i'll send you some screenshot of the new website so you can check if you see the correct version

Here's the entries that you should have in your hosts's file.

You'll see the header as this (it's different from the current public site). Also, you'll see in the login screen the debug message at the top (we're working with the wp_debug setted on true).

I forgot to tell you the ftp port is 2864.
Also, i see that the last entry i wrote in the post has "hidden link", it shouldn't (maybe there's an autocorrect or something?). It should be online hidden link

Hi Filippo,

Thank you I was able to get into the site now. Can you let me know where you are loading the divi builder so that I can have a look ?

Normally the dynamic field options are maintained by the page builder themselves as they are the ones retrieving the information from the database but I can have a look to see what is wrong.

I've also removed your host information from the forum thread.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Filippo,

Take a look at my short clip below.

AS you can see i'm still having a bit of an issue. When I click on the divi block to add a layout it takes me to a preview of the frontend where none of the divi layout elements show up here.

Have you opened a ticket with the Divi team for them to have a look at their dynamic custom field options ? As mentioned these type of options are generally maintained by the plugin author themselves.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,
We solved that problem, it was an incompatibility with woocommerce and divi.
You can go now. I can send you a video showing you the problem described in the first place but hte forum doesn't allow me. How can i do that?

Hi Filippo,

You can share the video using Google Drive or Dropbox.

However I had a look at the issue and it would appear that divi wants you to enter the slug of the custom field manually. See Screenshot

What you will need to do is to enter the slug of the custom field that you want to retrieve keeping the wpcf- prefix on the custom field name.

I may be looking in the wrong place so i'm looking forward to the video.

Thanks,
Shane
