I am trying to: Since the latest update to WordPress version and Toolset blocks plugin the image size in my custom post type 'places' - which has been working perfectly - has suddenly shrunk. This seems to have applied to all 285 posts (it is a growing project, with hundreds of records to be added to it). If I go to the Toolset dashboard and visit the template - which I haven't needed to since it was set up - I get the message "Your site doesn’t include support for the "toolset-blocks/container" block. You can leave it as-is, convert it to custom HTML, or remove it." - plus all sorts of gobbledegook, which I just don't understand.
Please help!

I expected to see: A full size image

Instead, I got: A small one!

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

The issues about the image size is known to us.

The issue is escalated in front of our Devs and I'll get in touch with you as soon as I've update on it.

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
For now, as a workaround, you should downgrade the WordPress to previous version 6.6.2.

Regarding the second issue about container block, I'm not sure yet what's casing the issue.

Can you please share staging site or if you want I can share a sandbox site and you can send me exact steps that should help me to reproduce the issue.

Please let me know your choice.

Hi, thank you for your reply.

1 - I do not control backups. These are made by my host on a daily basis, but the time varies. Usually at night, UK time.
2 - I do not know how to downgrade WordPress to previous version 6.6.2. NB It is currently 6.7 - I assume 6.6.2 is several versions ago.
3 - I think I have a staging site, but I do not know how to access it and it is not up to date. I have no idea what a sandbox site is.
4 - As to reproducing the issue, I noticed it when creating a new record/post and checking the draft before publishing. I checked other already published records/posts and the same error was on all of them, so it seems it has arisen due to a conflict between WordPress and Toolset.

Please advise.

===>
Ok. We always ask users to take backup or they should have possible way to get backup from hosting authority as in any case if something goes wrong they should have a latest copy of backup so that they can use the backup to restore.

2 - I do not know how to downgrade WordPress to previous version 6.6.2. NB It is currently 6.7 - I assume 6.6.2 is several versions ago.
====>
You can use any plugin to downgrade the WordPress version. You can use plugins like WP Downgrade:
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-downgrade/

Please check the following article and you should try to follow the steps under Title "How to Downgrade Your WordPress Version Using a Plugin":

3 - I think I have a staging site, but I do not know how to access it and it is not up to date. I have no idea what a sandbox site is.
===>
Its not required at the moment.

Can you please downgrade the WordPress version and it should be ok after that.

I will have a look at downgrading WordPress later this morning and get back to you.

However, before I waste time doing this, and to be clear, please confirm by return this is a temporary fix until you sort out the problem.

I have spent a considerable amount of man hours developing content depending upon Toolset and, to be honest, I'm wondering if it is fit for purpose.

I would like to inform you that:

The image block issue happens because WordPress 6.7 introduced changes to auto-sizes for lazy loaded images.

More details about this issue in the official blog post:
https://make.wordpress.org/core/2024/10/18/auto-sizes-for-lazy-loaded-images-in-wordpress-6-7/

Official bug report:
https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/61847

Can you please try to follow the following errata and try to resolve your issue by following the workaround shared:
- https://toolset.com/errata/image-block-displays-wrong-image-size-with-wordpress-6-7/

#2783908

Thanks. However, much of that is meaningless to me. One thing I do note is that the issue has been known for some while. So, before I spend time doing something I'm not confident in doing on a problem that someone else has caused, the key question is: - when do you anticipate it being resolved?

Well - its not on us actually, you will have to wait and see if when WP address the issue.

It's not affected to only Toolset clients but other users as well:

Thanks. I can see the WP update is not limited to Toolset users. However, one of Toolset's selling points is that it is fully functional with WordPress - and it currently isn't.
So my question is still valid - when do you anticipate it being resolved?
Secondly - what is Toolset doing to resolve it?
Regards, Mike.

=====>
You will have to understand the situation that the fix should be require as WordPress core and Toolset can not add fix in WordPress core, we can add fixes if/when require to our plugins. You can see the last comment: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/61847#comment:30

So, in situation like this, if core version is affected, you will have to wait until official hotfix is made available from WP core.

Secondly - what is Toolset doing to resolve it?
====>
We simply can not resolve it, you can follow the workaround shared with the errata page:
- https://toolset.com/errata/image-block-displays-wrong-image-size-with-wordpress-6-7/

See this as well, only option will be either you have to use Workaround or Downgrade the WordPress.

As I already informed you about the Image size issue which is not on us and already shared the errata for that but I would like to inform you that:

- we just release hotfix version for Toolset Blocks 1.6.18.
- We also release hotfix version for Toolset Access 2.9.2.

This will help you to fix the save/publish button misplaced.

You can download it from your account's download page:
- https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
Can you please update All Toolset plugins to it's latest official version and I hope this will resolve your issues.

Thank you for your last 3 messages. I apologise for not replying sooner - I have been unwell and also busy.

1 - The image size issue has indeed been resolved by the update WordPress to 6.7.1 .

2 - This has not resolved the issue with my post type template 'Places' developed using Toolset, which I advised you of at the outset - error message reads "Your site doesn’t include support for the "toolset-blocks/container" block. You can leave it as-is, convert it to custom HTML, or remove it." - followed by a load of incomprehensible gobbledook. So I cannot edit that template - although posts seem to be OK using it. Please advise.

3 - You wrote that latest Toolfix updates "will help you to fix the save/publish button misplaced." I do not understand what that is - I was unaware of that issue. Please advise.

4 - I have received notification of updates to 3 Toolset plugins as follows:
Forms to 2.6.22
Access to 2.9.2
Blocks to 1.6.18
However, it appears that none of these is known to be compatible with WP 6.7.1! So, if I update them, there is no guarantee that it won't mess up my website again. One of the selling points of Toolset is that it works with Toolset. Please advise when they will be compatible.

I have invested a huge amount of time in Toolset, believing it was the solution to a non-expert developing a different type of content (a new post type) for my website. I don't expect things to be problem-free, but I don't have the time or ability to resolve technical issues.

Regards
Mike

This issue should be fixed with the latest Toolset Blocks version 1.6.18. You should update if or try to delete the existing plugin and try to reinstall the latest plugin again.

3 - You wrote that latest Toolfix updates "will help you to fix the save/publish button misplaced." I do not understand what that is - I was unaware of that issue. Please advise.

Ok. If you are not aware its ok. The issue is fixed with latest Toolset Blocks plugin 1.6.18.

As shared before - the image issue was not on us and its fixed with WordPress 6.7.1 by WordPRess itself. For now no user reported any other issues but if you find any you are welcome to report back.

You are welcome to fine a new ticket with every new question you may have and we will try our best to guide you with the resolution of the issue if it falls within Toolset defined boundary.
