Hi, I have been using Toolset since 2019, recently I found that the plugin is promoting the Toolset Block to replace the Toolset View in the past.

However I find this Toolset Block unfriendly with website using page builder plugin (such as Elementor). In the past when I want to create a map/search I can just build a view and insert shortcode/using view widget to feature it inside Elementor editor.

With the current Toolset Block, I'm not allowed to do it anymore, there is only one option to build the block with WordPress Gutenberg block editor. Does this mean Toolset has changed it's development direction or I just haven't figured out how to do it yet?

In detail: I'm trying to create a map with marker which represents store's branched in one area.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Yes - as WordPress is moving to blocks we also decided to moved to blocks and that is why we are offering Toolset Blocks plugin which is a 1:1 copy of Toolset Views plugin.

If you want to go with Blocks - here is the Doc you should follow:

If you are not comfortable with Toolset blocks, you can still use Classic Views using Toolset Blocks plugin. We offer setting at:
- Toolset -> Settings -> General Tab -> Editing Experience section where you chose what editing mode you want to go with. You can use the third option ""Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build"" that will allow you to build views using both in block mode as well as Classic mode (Toolset -> Views) from.

Hi Minesh,

Thank you for your reply, I have some question here:

1. Is there anyway I can use Blocks to build a map and embed it to a Elementor template? Currently when editing a page using Elementor it will disable the blocks editor. In Elementor I only find widget Toolset Views not Toolset Blocks.

2. I'm currenly using View as an alternative, but all the documents/tutorials/videos of Views on your website has been delete. Where can I find a tutorial to build a map+listing+marker?

Here is the Doc how you can use Elementor with Toolset:

You will have to build view in Block mode and then later add the view using shortcode module of elementor.

==>
We do not specific doc that shows how you can display map using legacy views but here is the doc that shows all the links related to how you can build the legacy view using shortcodes and you will just have to add map shortcode outside the view's loop and map marker shortcode inside the view loop.

Hi,

1. "You will have to build view in Block mode and then later add the view using shortcode module of elementor." -> I follow the instruction and it is saying this on creating a view "To start, edit or create a page, post or a template and insert the View block."
-> The tutorial didn't mention which post type we are going to use? Using "page" will create an URL which affect SEO score, using "post" will be not ok as I'm using it for the Blog and how can I create a "template" exactly?
-> After creating view, how can I find it shortcode?

First of all, you will have to tell me you prefer to go with blocks or classic view to create your view?

Using block - here is the step by step tutorial - Have you followed the following lesson?

You have to install Toolset Maps plugin. Please make sure you install it.
