Tell us what you are trying to do?
Integrate with WPSOLR plugin instead of Relevanssi

I would like to know if you have every integrated Toolset with WPSOLR. I would also like to know if you can recommend a search plugin for a website that will eventually have many many posts?

Is there any documentation that you are following?
No

Is there a similar example that we can see?
No

What is the link to your site?
hidden link - but this site is currently in development.

Thanks,

There is no integration (official) or Documentation - or even custom code as far I have seen) that would integrate Views in Solr itself or the Plugin WPSolr

I can add that as a feature request and let the Developers evaluate if it is possible.
We could then see if many people want this, what we can do in form of a cooperation with the plugin you mention, or do something else in regard.

I cannot however promise that it will or if, then when, be implemented.

Would you wish to file such a request?
I can do that for you.

You may also try to ask a Consultant
https://toolset.com/contractors/

But I am, as said, not aware of any work ever done in this direction.

We used Solr here on the forum, but, we did not integrate it with the Views search.

The Views Search, based on the WP_Query, would make no sense to be the intermediary between a Solr and a WordPress Database 🙂
It'd simply break the purpose of Solr.

But, maybe it's possible to do some thing that allows you to pass certain of it's functions to our Text Search.

I will see what the developers respond.

Hi Beda,

Has any progress in made in allowing Toolset Views work with WPSOLR ElasticSearch? The site we are working on has a very large number of records. ElasticSearch is the most efficient means of indexing all of the data. Currently when WPSOLR plugin is active, Toolset Views search-archive results content template formatting does not work. When the WPSOLR plugin is deactivated the content template formatting does work.

Is there anything in the pipeline to resolve this?
Thanks
