Installing Types locally fails.

This support ticket is created 4 years, 11 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Hi,

using Flywheel I want to upload and install Types to my local PC, to test new Blocks and others, but my installation fails.
( I don't find Toolset from admin area in WP directory, so I can't install it from there and I can't activate my Toolset license for this local site from there)
The error message is:
"Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
Destination folder already exists. C:/Users/***/Local Sites/mydomain/app/public/wp-content/plugins/types/
Plugin installation failed."

The plugin dir and its content exists there. Win 10 used.
It is not my first local site in Flywheel and I could install an uploaded theme for this site and iThemes Security (as a test install),
so the issue must be Toolset / Types related.

Please delete any copy of Toolset in your Plugins folder (wp-content/plugins)

Then, follow these steps:
https://toolset.com/faq/how-to-install-and-register-toolset/

If that still fails, please let us know.

After deleting types folder in plugins folder, the retried upload, install and license activation was successful.
