I am trying to:
Access my normal "Installed Plugins Page" in the WordPress settings
Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
hidden link
I expected to see:
My "Installed Plugins" settings page.
Instead, I got:
I get redirected to hidden link
"Welcome to Toolset Blocks".
Interestingly, this does not happen once I change the browser.
Seems something that is set initially and sticks in the browser cache somehow.
But Chrome Browser hard cache reset does not help... Maybe a system restart.
Since I found a workaround, it is more a report for something to fix because it can be very confusing and annoying for first time users. And a quick research in the forum showed that I am not the only one with that problem. And it is definitely because it is unlikely that there was a bug in my installation that redirects to a particular Toolset Page before.
So maybe something for the bug backlog, unless the problem keeps showing up in my Chrome browser.
Thank you!
Kind regards
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
Would you please test the issue with Chrome by doing the steps below?
- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website.
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Plugins" and deactivate all plugins except Toolset and its add-ons. (You might have to do it with a browser that works)
- Check if you can still recreate the issue.
- If not, re-activate your plugins one by one and check the issue each time to find out the plugin that causes the problem.
And check for the theme:
- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website.
- Switch to the default theme such as "TwentyTwenty" by going to "WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > themes".
- See if the issue is fixed.
See if it fixes the issue. If not, we can also copy your website to our server to see if it is a cache-related problem or not. If your website is below 1 GB of course.
Thank you.
