Tell us what you are trying to do?
I am trying to insert a search form into a section of a page, and the search results in a different section of the same page
Is there any documentation that you are following?
hidden link , refer to 7:35 and onwards
Is there a similar example that we can see?
However, under the 'Edit Toolset View' section of my editor, I cannot see the 'Custom Search' dropdown menu. see image
What is the link to your site?

Hi Dave,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Not sure what is happening here with this, however you should be still able to do this manually.

If you add a text editor to your elementor page you can use the shortcodes below.

[wpv-form-view name="my-search-view-for-elementor" target_id="8"]

You will ofcourse replace "my-search-view-for-element" with the slug of your view and 8 with the ID of the page that you will put the results on.

On the results page you will add the following shortcode.

[wpv-view name="my-search-view-for-elementor" view_display="layout"]

Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

Thank you for the reply.
I will try the proposed work around.

The intent is to have the filter on an off-canvas widget provided by Elementor.
I am not sure if the proposed solution can get me that far. We see how it turns out.

Meanwhile, will you be escalating the issue as a bug?
I will also ask the elementor pros about the same issue.

Thanks,

Hi Dave,

I've checked on our system for this and yes it has already been reported, so you will need to continue using the workaround until our development team has a look at the escalated thread.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Dave,

This issue should now be resolved in our Latest views/blocks version.

Please perform an update on the plugins in order to get this fix.

Thanks,
