[Resolved] In “X” category page, my search module shows only “X” category in dropdown.

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
Is it possible to display taxonomy term dropdown with taxonomy archive and filter with taxonomy term

Solution:
you can't filter a taxonomy archive by the same taxonomy. WordPress Archives are not designed to work for a single term within a taxonomy archive.

You can find proposed solution, in this case, with the following reply:

I am trying to:
see here - hidden link - in this category only this particular category is shown as dropdown. I want all categories to be present here just like this page - hidden link

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
hidden link
I expected to see:
all categories (locations) like this hidden link
Instead, I got:
only one particular location

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

The results you getting is expected one - you can't filter a taxonomy archive by the same taxonomy. WordPress Archives are not designed to work for a single term within a taxonomy archive.

One way to get around this is to create a View that acts like an archive for your category term. Create a View that shows all posts, then add a filter by taxonomy term. Add this View to a page and link to this page instead of your archive.

Thanks for this.
