Tell us what you are trying to do?
I am trying to import WWI dates (1914 to 1918) via an importer tool. I am using the formula below to prepare the date column in the csv file, but it does not seem to work; the date field remains empty.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
I tried the formula in this thread: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/need-help-getting-date-time-in-spreadsheet-to-import-in-unix-timestamp/
For example, 1917-08-28 00:00 gives the result: -1651881600

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Hi Hein,

Thank you for getting in touch.

I tried to manually add this time stamp to my datepicker field in the database and it works fine. Is it a case where the import isn't working ? Have you checked the database to ensure that the field value is stored inside the correct meta field ?

Also which importer tool are you using ?

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Shane

The importer i use is WP Ultimate CSV importer by SmackCoders.

They consider this to be a customization for which I would have to pay.

Do I understand correctly that timestamp is the ONLY way Toolset accepts dates, and that a format as 28/08/1917 would not be accepted?

Hi Hein,

That is correct, the dates will only show if they are imported as timestamps.

There is a free method to import the fields, have a look at our documentation below.
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/import-content-csv-importer-plugin/

This document should be able to assist you with importing your date field values.

Thanks,
Shane

The importer developers decided to leave their plugin as it is. This means you can import only date formatted dates with the tool. A timestamp option will not be developed.
For my purposes I find a workaround and don't need any help anymore.
Thanks
