[Resolved] Import/Export templates

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The issue here is that the user wanted to import/export their views/blocks templates.
Solution:

To export your Views/Content template you will need to do it using our Toolset Module Manager plugin.
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/#legacy-plugins

The plugin can be downloading from the link above. This will allow you to create modules of your various Toolset components and export them together.

It should be noted that with the Module Manager you will only be able to export views that were created with the classic builder. This means views that were created by going to Toolset -> Views.

If this is not how your view was created then the entire site will need to be migrated to export your views built using Blocks.

How do I move designed templates from development to a production site?
I don't see any export/import for this? I hope I don't need to recreate this online?
Can this be done with SQL?

Hi Helena,

The design templates can be exported by going to Toolset -> Export/Import. This will allow you to export your Types custom fields and post types, Forms , access etc.

However if you need to export your Views/Content template you will need to do it using our Toolset Module Manager plugin.

The plugin can be downloading from the link above. This will allow you to create modules of your various Toolset components and export them together.

Thanks,
Shane

In addition, can the Advanced Exporter be used to export and import customizersettings more easily?

Hi Helena,

Can you clarify what is meant by "customizer settings" are you referring to the settings set in the theme customizer settings?

Also the Advanced Exporter plugin has not been updated since its initial release from 2017 so I wouldn't recommend using this plugin.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane

I meant the customizer settings indeed, but I will refrain from using the plugin based on your advice.
I'm just looking for an easier way to upload local development to production and WordPress is quite the frustrating mess honestly.
But my issue is somewhat resolved then. Thank you.
