I have had a number of potential customer on to me saying they cannot upload an image on the frontend. The backend figure is set to 20mb.
The problem seems to be really random. It seems to allow me to upload images up to 5.9mb on chrome but on firefox it about 5.4mb. While on another machine its fails at under 5mb. I have had a number of people onto me complaining so I am sure there are others that are not bothering. Please help asap.
The link is as above

Hi Oliver,
Thank you for contacting the Toolset support forum.
I'm Mohammed. I will do my best to help you.
Usually, we ask our clients for clear steps to reproduce the issues in order that we can replicate the issues on our machines and be able to debug it.
But, you've mentioned that the issue happens randomly which unfortunately will not help to discover the issue.
The only thing that I can think of now is that you can provide me the server logs and enable the WordPress debug mode and provide me the WordPress log file: https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress .
Also, you may create a test website on which you can replicate the issue and deactivate all non-Toolset plugins and activate a default theme just to make sure that there are no conflicts with other plugins that may cause this behavior.
Thanks.
You should be able to replicate by trying to upload a couple of different file size. Try one under 1mb, under 3mb, under 5mb, under 8mb, under 12 mb and see at what stage it fails for you?
Hi Oliver,
**I tried uploading many files of sizes 2+, 4+ and 12+ MB. All succeeded except for the largest file.
**I got this error in the browser console when the file failed to be uploaded:
submit.php Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error) . I tried to replicate this behavior locally but I couldn't.
**I will open the debug information for you in the next reply so that you can provide me them. the debug information helps us to get some information about your installaion and your server that helps us: https://toolset.com/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/
**Could you please check your server and increase these values: upload_max_filesize and post_max_size to fit your requirements?
**If this didn't help, Iād like to replicate your site locally. For this, you'll need to temporarily install a plugin called "Duplicator" on your site. This will allow you to create a copy of your site and your content. You can provide me with the snapshot following these directions:
If you already know how Duplicator works ( http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/ ), please skip the following steps and just send me the installer file and the zipped package you downloaded.
:: Duplicator instructions
. From WordPress plugin page, look for "Duplicator" and install it
. Once installed, you get a new main menu "Duplicator"
. Chose "Packages"
. Click on the first button you find in the toolbar on the right ("Create Package")
. Give it a name or leave it as is
**You can ignore the uploads directory , cache and the archives
. Click on "Create Package Set"
. Wait until the package is ready
. Click on "Installer", then on "Package": the first one is just a php script, the second one is a zip file containing everything you need
. Send me both files (you probably want to use DropBox, Google Drive, or similar services, as the snapshot file will be quite big , you can also exclude the images if the file is very big )
IMPORTANT: remember to create or keep an admin account for me before creating the snapshot, or I won't be able to log-in. You may delete the new admin account once the snapshot has been built.
I will set the next reply as a private reply so you will able to provide a link to download the duplicator package.
Thanks and Best Regards
