i'd like to resize the height of a checkboxes list, and make scrollable

Tell us what you are trying to do? i have added a taxonomy field to cred form, a list of states and their counties, and need user to check off state and county in that list. its a loooong list, would like to see about resizing within a smaller text area, and make that text area scrollable, easier for use.
