I am trying to: Understand the "Add a new View" dialog. I thought this was were I needed to be to do this but the questions on this page seem to be more for Archives. What am I missing?

Hi James,

I'm not sure if I fully understand your request but let me mention some points that would help you.

If you want to list posts, A view will be suitable for this.
If you want to show single posts, then you can use the content templates
CRED forms are being created by the CRED plugins

The Fields and View button generate a popup window that contains the Views, Content templates, the available fields(custom fields and standard fields) on your website.
Using this popup, you can insert different shortcodes that will display the fields, Views and more.

We have another button (CRED forms), you can create CRED forms and then use this button to insert the forms wherever you want.

If the previous points didn't help, we will nee more details about your request so that we can work on it and probably prepared something for you to help you.
