I tried to update the maps plugin and there is an error

This support ticket is created 5 years, 6 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Hi, usually that message is just a temporary server glitch. You can click "Check for Updates" and try again in a few minutes, or if it's still not working you can download the latest plugin from https://toolset.com/account/downloads. Then deactivate and delete Toolset Maps in wp-admin > Plugins, and upload the new plugin you downloaded from the site.

I'm sorry I have given you the wrong information. Maps 1.8 has been taken offline because of an error some people noticed in database collation requirements. Our team hopes to have Maps 1.8.1 available ASAP to address this problem. Until then, we are discontinuing distribution of Maps 1.8 through the site.
