This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The user was getting the error below.
[10-Sep-2019 08:49:30 UTC] PHP Warning: "continue" targeting switch is equivalent to "break"
Solution:
Upon checking the user's site I found that they were using types 2. In order for you to get the latest software patches you will need to update to the latest available version of Types.
This support ticket is created 5 years, 4 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.
