Tell us what you are trying to do?
I need to format a taxonomy child category differently than the parent

Is there any documentation that you are following?
I've tried using shortcodes and creating a view

Is there a similar example that we can see?
I'm attaching an image

What is the link to your site?
It's a dev site that can't be accessed

Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Are you using a view as well to display the parent terms ?

Or are the parent and child terms being displayed in a single view ?

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane

I'm displaying them in 1 taxonomy view.

It's only outputting raw text with no HTML available to style.

Hello,

The best way to style the child terms differently is to use a nested view setup. Have a look at the documentation below in order to do this.
https://toolset.com/documentation/legacy-features/views-plugin/using-a-child-view-in-a-taxonomy-view-layout/#taxonomy-view-within-taxonomy-view

This should allow you to list your Parent and Child terms independently of each other and you can style them differently.

Thanks,
Shane

Unfortunately, my allotted time for this one has come to an end. I'll revisit it next time around.

Thanks for the help.
