[Resolved] i have disabled few options from backend and they are still being showed
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The Avada theme options section available when editing Content Templates or Layouts seems to be missing the Avada post meta section, so it can only be hidden with CSS.
Solution:
That's an omission, a request has been made to update the Avada theme options configuration file to include it.

as shown in the following snapshot hidden link
i have set no to author info box
but that option is still being showed up to front end and have to use manual css to disable it hidden link
can you please be kind enough to guide how can i limit it from displaying there?
I've just been testing this on a local site with Avada and the current Toolset plugins and it seems to work fine.
On the Template Layout for displaying single custom posts I use the Theme Options section to disable the Author Info Box (as per your first screenshot), and on the front end I see that it works, the post author box is no longer displayed.
When I do show it the section in question looks different than that which you are targeting in your second screenshot, see my screenshot where the author box is displayed in a section with class "about-author".
The theme settings for Avada in Layouts should cover most of the options, but if there is an individual theme setting that appears to be missing then it may be necessary to use CSS to hide the content in question.
i am working on a template and i dont want my editors to do the process i want that limited for specific template.
if u check screen shots it got the option to disable but its not actually doing it.
can you please guide me the right procedure do disable that for template
thanks
In your screenshot it is the post meta box you are disabling with CSS, not the post author info box.
I looked through the theme options available in the Template Layouts and the Avada theme options, and the option for single blog posts at Avada > Theme Options > Blog > Blog Meta to disable the meta box for blog posts doesn't seem to be available for single custom posts in the Layouts theme options.
I have filed a request that this be reviewed and this option is added, but in the meantime there is no alternative to using CSS to hide that unwanted section, unless you are happy to disable it for all posts, including blog posts, which you can do in the Avada settings.
post meta box got all the things regarding post author / date and other info.
if i disable through theme it will be site wide
I know avada very well i am using it from years.
I need it disabled on this specific template only which i created using toolset.
why is the function from the template menu not working?
It is not working because it seems to have been overlooked when setting up the theme options integration with Avada.
I have already filed a request for the configuration file to be updated so that the option becomes available, and you can wait for that update, or you can continue to hide the meta box with CSS.
I can't give any estimate of that, I only just requested it and there are many competing demands on the developers' time.
They make judgements about what to work on when, I can simply communicate to them that you need it (which I have).
The update requires a fix to a configuration file that actually ships with the Avada theme (rather than Toolset), so it depends on cooperation with the Avada team and is not something that can be unilaterally fixed by us, it will also require an Avada update.
