[Resolved] I can't upgrade Types and Views plugins

This support ticket is created 5 years, 8 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I am trying to:
upgrade Types 2.2.16 => 23.2.7 and Views 2.4.1 => 2.7.5
Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
This is a staging site. I registered the site in "My Sites" but could not automatically upgrade. I downloaded the files manually and received the following messages:

Tried to update to types 3.2.7 got this message:
Current version is 2.2.16

Installing Plugin from uploaded file: types.3.2.7.zip

Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

Destination folder already exists. /var/www/html/site/wp-content/plugins/types/

Plugin installation failed.

Tried to upgrade toolset views 2.4.1 and got this error message.

Destination folder already exists. /var/www/html/site/wp-content/plugins/wp-views/

I expected to see:

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - I see you are using really old Toolset plugin and wanted to update it to the latest version.

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I should advise you to update all Toolset Types plugin manually using plugins page for now:
- deactivate and delete all current Toolset plugins
- download the latest plugin release from your accounts page:

- Upload Types plugin from plugins page and activate it
- Try to use commercial tab to update all other plugins or follow the manual way to update it by uploading plugins one by one using plugins page
