[Resolved] I can't search on Toolset custom post types data with wpdatatables plugin

This support ticket is created 4 years, 2 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I am trying to: search into custom fields data

Hi Stefano,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Normally it would be the responsibility of the plugin that is doing the search to include the post meta in their searches.

What I recommend that you do is to get in touch with the support team for the wpDataTables plugin and confirm with them that their plugin allows for searching through meta deta.

Hi Stefano,

No there are no protection from types with the custom post types. Once the post types are publicly queryable the wpDatatables should be able to access it.

However the wpDatatables must support this.
