This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user has some strings in their template that they want to translate.

Solution:

To translate these strings I would recommend taking a look at the link below.

Hello @enricoP welcome to the Toolset support Forum!

This is the documentation on how to translate a menu with WPML, please make sure to follow all steps: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/

As this issue seems related with WPML (not with toolset), please open a new ticket on the WPML forum: https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/ - our team will help you.

All the best,
Diego

Hi Diego, thank you for your support.
Unfortunately we did not build this site, we do not know toolset, and we found ourselves with a proper Italian menu and no English menu.

Entering the visual editor, we noticed that the Italian menu was inserted as html code and not using the standard wordpress menu (see attachment).
This file is located within a general page layout.
This structure in English does not exist and we do not know how to create it.

Can you tell us what steps should we follow to create the layout in English?

Hi Enrico,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

The issue here seems to be how the menu was created.

This can be translated using the string translations plugin, however you must first wrap it in our translation shortcodes.
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/views-shortcodes/#wpml-string

Wrap the menu text itself in the shortcode and you should be able to translate it.

Thanks,
Shane
