I am trying to: edit any view created with the block editor. I can create views, but then I'm unable to edit them. I just get a few option like limits (see photo) - but there is nothing I can do to edit the view after it has been created.
Link to a page where the issue can be seen: it's a backend thing so I'd need to send you a login
I expected to see: some option in the right column settings to edit the view
Instead, I got: nothing...
Hi there,
Would you please test to see if there is any sort of conflict with another plugin or the theme?
- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website.
- Switch to the default theme such as "TwentyTwenty" by going to "WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > themes".
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Plugins" and deactivate all plugins except Toolset and Toolset add-ons.
- Check if you can still recreate the issue.
- If not, re-activate your plugins one by one and check the issue each time to find out the plugin that causes the problem.
Thank you.
Hi there,
Unfortunately, the user information that you gave is not an administrator and I do not have access to Toolset menus.
Would you please fix the role of the user so that I can check?
Thank you.
Sorry about that Christopher.
The account is admin now.
Karl
Hi there,
It seems that you deleted the page where you created the view in. Please consider that the View Block can be edited only on a page that you create the view in.
I created a test page and added a view and it works ok:
hidden link
Please do not delete the page containing the view as then you will not be able to edit the view afterward.
Thanks
Thanks Christopher.
Understand now I need to not delete the original page with the view in it.
I'll work round that.
Karl
