I am using WordPress in Japanese environment.
Unfortunately the Japanese translation of the Toolset plugin is incomplete, so I always want to use it in English.
Currently, I am renaming the "types-ja.mo" file and "views-ja.mo" file to avoid the problem, but I need to work every time the plugin is updated.

Is there a way to always use the Toolset plugin in English display?

Hi there

The language for Toolset is determined by the settings for the rest of the WordPress back-end.

You have a site-wide language setting in Settings > General that sets the back-end language for all users.

An individual user can override that setting in their profile settings, so if the site is set to Japanese you can change your own setting to English.

But then *all* the back-end UI will be in English, not just the Toolset UI. There is no way to differentiate the UI of one plugin from the rest of the UI.

I don't know if having the whole back-end UI in English for a single user is an option for you.

Thank you for your reply.
I have decided to deal with it in the former way.

Can you show me the location of ".mo file" of each plugin of toolset?
I hope that the location of ".mo file" will be posted in "documentation" of official website.

Hi there

The location of the .mo files isn't listed in the documentation as it is not something that clients typically need to modify.

I checked and found the following locations for the main plugins:

Types:
plugins/types/vendor/otgs/installer/locale/installer-ja.mo
plugins/types/vendor/toolset/types/embedded/locale/types-ja.mo
plugins/types/vendor/toolset/toolset-common/languages/views-ja.mo

Views:
plugins/wp-views/vendor/toolset/toolset-common/languages/views-ja.mo

Layouts:
plugins/layouts/locale/layouts-ja.mo
plugins/layouts/vendor/toolset/toolset-common/languages/views-ja.mo

Toolset Forms:
plugins/cred-frontend-editor/library/toolset/cred/embedded/locale/wp-cred-ja.mo
plugins/cred-frontend-editor/vendor/toolset/toolset-common/languages/views-ja.mo

Access:
plugins/types-access/locale/access-ja.mo
plugins/types-access/vendor/toolset/toolset-common/languages/views-ja.mo

If there are other plugins you need this for please let me know.
