Hi, in the past 24hrs the number of Geolocation API requests has jumped from the usual approx 2000 request to 128,000.

Google technical support say that from March 4th there has been a high duplicate rate for 98% of the requests.

Are there any known issues that would suddenly cause this?

I have checked the Toolset Maps address cache, it is full of many addresses, so that appears to be ok.

The Google Tech support also advise that the Toolset '2nd key for server-side requests' should be restricted to IP. Is that correct, or do Toolset say it should be unrestricted?

My map page is: hidden link

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

I do not see any other user reported the same issue. There must be any bot attack or something else that cause this issue.

As you can see with our Doc - we offer 2nd Google Map API key that should be use for server side request.

What if you try to bind the server side API request to your domain/IP and check if that helps?

Thanks Minesh, it is nice to speak to you again, it's been a long time! I hope all is well.

I will bind the 2nd server side API Key to the IP, as suggested by Google support. I thought that Toolset needed that key to remain unrestricted for the map to work. Is that not the case?

Hi Simon - Glad to see you again.

You should keep first API key "unrestricted" and try to bind 2nd API key with your domain/IP and check if that helps.
