Hello,

In a DIVI based website i enter some custom fields in wordpress posts.
After entering some text in the posts and try to present them on the site, all the <p> </p> tags are stripped in the frontend when i display the post.
This results in very very wrong displayed post text.
Is there a way to fix this ?

Thank you

Hi Yannis,

Thank you for getting in touch.

If you were to display the field itself on the frontend using a content template and not with divi does the field still display unformatted without the p tags? Or is it only when you use the divi builder it becomes unformatted.

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane

You can see an example here
hidden link

You will see that i actually don't use DIVI to display the posts.
I just use DIVI for the pages of the website, but not for the posts.

Thank you

Hi Yannis,

Could you try wrapping you shortcode that is displaying this with our shortcode below?
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/views-shortcodes/#wpv-autop

Please try this.

If it does not work would you mind allowing me to have admin access to the site to assess the issue further?

Thanks,
Shane

I really don't understand what you are telling me to do.
I don't use any shortcodes for this to display.
I use a content template created with Toolset Views 3.0.0-b2

How can i send you th admin credentials ?

Hello,

I try to solve this with all possible means i know but it is not working.
It looks like the content template is stripping the html code created in the main editing window of a post.

Hi Yannis,

I've enabled the private fields so that you can provide me with admin access to the site to check on the issue for you.

Thanks,
Shane

Hello,

Its been more than 6 hours that i have sent you the credentials and you still haven't logged into the site.
Do you plan to do something in the next few hours or should i try to create a custom body test with DIVI to see if this might solve the problem ?

Thank you

Hello,

I used the DIVI builder to create custom layouts for specific posts and although all the info of the post is presented, the post body "<p>" and "&nbsp" HTML tags are still stripped, which means that something is wrong with the content template created by Toolset.

Thank you

Hi Yannis,

This should now be resolved.

It seems the Post Field block is removing the formatting from the template.

What I did was to instead use the [wpv-post-body] shortcode to get the body content and this gives you the correct formatting.

Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane

Hello,

So, this is a bug of the beta version of Views or is something "wrong" with my website ?

thank you

#1389055

Could you also please tell me exactly what you did, because i need to replicate this in a number of similar websites.

Thank you.

Hi Yannis,

On your content template, I removed the Field block and added a Classic Editor block.

From there I then use the views button on that classic editor and added the post body shortcode.

Alternatively your can just add your Classic editor bloakc and just add this to it.
[wpv-post-body]

Thanks,
Shane

Problem solved.
I guess the issue will be fixed in the final release of Views 3.0.0

Thank you very much
