I want to insert a login form into a content layout using the new block editor functionality that comes with View 3.0 b1
But i don't find any possibility to insert this form or to get a shortcode for this form.

Did this already with an older version of Views successfully.

How can someone insert this standard login form?

Hi Stefan,

Thank you for getting in touch.

I'm not sure what exactly you are referring to when you say "Content Layout".

Could you provide a screenshot of the area you are referring to so that I can best advise?

Thanks,
Shane

03 - i need a login form in this content layout.png
02 - content layout for error page in access control.png

Hi Shane,

this is a development site showing the page where it should happen.

If logged in it shows name and status of the used logged in.
If NOT logged in it should show a login mask. < this is the point i am looking for.

Already made in access control a content group, and now want to put a login form into the error page of the access control. That way a user that is not logged in gets an error page which contends the login form. (learned this from your forum / howto base for an older version of toolset 🙂 . )

Thanks,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

You can insert the form into your template by using the forms button. See Screenshot

If you what to see the shortcode then you can click on the block More options and select "Edit as HTML". See Screenshot

This is how you would insert your form onto the template.

Thanks,
Shane

Thanks Shane,

i get this.

The question is how do i now make the form, i always get with installed View 3.0_b1 the block editor - even to edit a form. How do i insert a standard login form with a block editor and Views 3-b1?

Thanks,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

The Login form isn'y being made instead you will actually need to use the shortcode in the link below to insert the login form.

Please let me know if this clarifies things for you.

Thanks,

This works great. Thanks a lot Shane!

Before 3.0-b1, in the old editor, there where buttons for this shortcodes - i am used to go for those functions with them.

My input as beta-user: make them again for block editor or this thread sticky 😀 😀

Thanks again Shane,
wish you a great day!
Stefan
