As a follow-up to this thread: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/best-practice-creating-us-statescities-as-post-types-or-not/

As part of a content (post) submission form, I am wanting to have a STATE drop-down in a CRED form. I was told that CPTs are the best way to do this, to allow relationships between cities and states.

My question is, how to use these CPTs in my CRED form?

Thanks,

Hello leeF-2,

Thank you for contacting Toolset Support.

I will be happy to help you with your issue.

You can follow these steps to add a custom post type dropdown:
1. Open your CRED form
2. On the content toolbar > click “Add Post Fields” > Parent > select the Parent post type (In your case “State”)
Example:
hidden link

Please let me know if the above fixes the issue.

Kind regards
