Tell us what you are trying to do?

I want to show a repeatable field group View of the Parent post in a Child post.

On the Parent post, I use this [wpv-view name="rfg-career-pros"] to display the RFG.

I tried [wpv-view name="rfg-career-pros" item ="$parent"] in the Child post but it doesn't show up.

How can I show this RFG in the child post? Do I have to create a new View to accomplish this?

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

You need to pass the parent post ID. And set your view to filter by shortcode attribute.

For example:

[wpv-view name="rfg-career-pros" parentid="[wpv-post-id item='@your-relationship-slug.parent']"]

Where:
- Replace your-relationship-slug with your original post-relationship slug.
- Edit your view "" and add a "Post relationship" query filter from the "Query Filter" section and set it to filter by shortcode attribute parentid

Thanks for the solution, Minesh.

Few questions.
1. Can we use the existing View or do we need to create a new View?
2. I don't quite understand this part "Replace your-relationship-slug with your original post-relationship slug."

This will go into the child post.

I tried these three but all of them didn't work.
[wpv-view name="rfg-career-pros-child" parentid="[wpv-post-id item='@child.parent']"]
[wpv-view name="rfg-career-pros-child" parentid="[wpv-post-id item='@parent']"]
[wpv-view name="rfg-career-pros-child" parentid="[wpv-post-id item='@parent.parent']"]

I need to know the post relationship slug.

Can you please share problem URL where you want to display this view as well as access details.

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.

Can you please check now: hidden link

You never mentioned that you are using the hierarchical structure to set parent and child.

I've adjusted the view's as given under:

[wpv-view name="rfg-career-pros-child" parentid="[wpv-post-id item='$parent']"]
[wpv-view name="rfg-career-cons" parentid="[wpv-post-id item='$parent']"]

Its better that you should use different views to displays pros and cons for your parent and child pages.
