This is a job directory site. The client wants to 'expire' old job listings

Similarly, job seekers who upload their CVs are encouraged to update their CV every 3 months. For those who do not, the client would like those job seeker profiles to be 'greyed out' or marked 'inactive'

Any ideas on how this can be achieved?

Thanks!

Hello @tasneemA, welcome to the Toolset support Forum!

Yes, if you are using the Toolset Forms (CRED) plugin, you can set a expiration time for the posts created at the front-end. For more details, please take a look at this tutorial: https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/automatic-post-expiration/

Please let me know if it worked for you.

Kind regards,
Diego

Hi Diego,

Thanks, I found where I can expire old posts. However, this seems to globally expire posts after a set amount of time for all posts. With the job listings, the jobs have application deadlines that varies. Is it possible to set the expiration date of each post based on a date entered by the lister on the front end?

Hi there,

The expiration will apply to the posts created using the form. It will applies based on the creation date of the post (e.g. It will delete the post 10 days after the post is created). If each post listing will expires after a specific deadiline (e.g. each post will expire 15 days after it's created), then this is a suitable solution for you.

If, instead, you need that users to be able to choose the date when the post expires, please take a look at this ticket: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/set-the-post-expiration-date-within-a-form/

Kind regards,
Diego
