[Resolved] How to automatically create new post from an external mysql database table

This support ticket is created 6 years, 5 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

I am trying to pull data from my php website database hosted on mysql and use it to create new post items every few minutes.

Hi, Toolset isn't designed to read RSS feeds or import content directly by contacting another database. WordPress isn't set up to do this either, so you'll get the best results from a third-party plugin that is specifically made for importing content from another site's database using some kind of feed. Try searching the WordPress plugin repository for RSS Feed import plugins. I can provide any information you need about how Toolset's posts, taxonomy terms, and custom fields are stored in the database.
