Tell us what you are trying to do?
I am trying to style or apply a content template to my site's default WordPress search results archive page.
When a value is entered into the site's search box I would like to be able to apply a content template and perhaps view filters to the search results archive page.
Is there any documentation that you are following?
I haven't found any.
Is there a similar example that we can see?
I have not seen any similar examples.
What is the link to your site? hidden link. The site is currently under construction.
Thank-you for your reply. I understand and appreciate everything you have written. My issue is the following:
I cannot get the default divi search box / module to connect to the new toolset wordpress archive that I have created. Do you have any tips for making that connection?
More specifically I want to type into the Divi Search Box and have the outcome be displayed as the same design as my Toolset WordPress Archive Content Template. So far I have not been able to connect the default search field / box to the Toolset WordPress Archive Content Template.
I hope you can help me with this specific question.
Sorry about that - it has been updated to an admin account. I would really appreciate a quick look as I have a deadline on this. Thanks so much,
Andrew
Is there a way to get faster turn-around on responses?
I would really appreciate support from anyone. It doesn't have to be Shane. I'll accept help from everyone. I'm pretty certain if someone were to login and check what is happening they would be able to figure out what I am doing wrong or see the error that is stopping the WordPress Search Archive from working.
Please try a ?s= search with the WPSOLR plugin activated and then try it again with WPSOLR plugin deactivated. Somewhere this plugin conflicts with Toolset Views such that the formating of archive search results with ?s= searches is not applied.
Can you please recheck? The site is fully backed up and I give you permission to activate the WPSOLR and Toolset Views and other plugins as you see fit.
I have also some debugging plugins so you can take a closer look.
Yes it does need to be constantly active because it is the index of our search and the search processing is done on an external server. It is useful for high volume sites.
