I am using CRED extensively to send transactional emails. Most of emails right now are text based plain emails that do a decent job.

I am using SiteGround's SMTP to deliver emails and want to start using an email marketing tool such as Mailchimp to do five things
1) Get a better sense of email open rates and figure out user behavior
2) Make the emails look more professional and prettier with email templates
3) Send a weekly newsletter with latest posts from a couple of custom post types.
4) Send a weekly summary of user's activity on the platform by showing their posts, comments and replies.
5) Share high quality posts on social.

I have built all my custom post types, custom fields, post forms and access control setup using toolset. Now I want to know how to make toolset work best with email marketing tool like mail chimp. How should I approach this and what addons or tools are available to make toolset 'talk' with these platforms.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

There is no official integration available or any other addon Tool we offer to integrate MailChimp with Toolset.

There are no specific hooks and integration to replace the outgoing mailing method used by the Toolset Forms. The Forms plugin uses the native WP wp_mail() function in sending outgoing mails.

Minesh,

This is a surprising answer. How do people manage to do the tasks that I mentioned while using Toolset for creating CPTs?

I cannot just keep sending text based emails to my users. There got to be a way other people using toolset have managed this. Do you know how they have done it? If yes, can you point me to some examples. Also, I am in the US and would prefer this ticket to be handled by someone on US time.

Regards,
Himanshu

Hi Himanshu,

As Minesh mentioned there is no official integration or addon that is able to allow Toolset to "talk" with the mailchimp platform.

Toolset has hooks that you can trigger at various points in the post submission process for your form.

My best advice here is to check if mailchimp has any hook or function that you can call to trigger an action on their side.

Thanks,
Shane

My issue is not resolved but it seems like Toolset just does not have the feature I need. Thanks anyways.
