I expected to see:

Instead, I got:
Toolset instructions to install previous version of Types say go to https://toolset.com/home/types-manage-post-types-taxonomy-and-custom-fields/#developers
,..but that page only has through version 2.3

You can grab an older version here:
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/ > Types > Changelog

However we do not suggest downgrading.

We will look into your other ticket ASAP.

You did solve the problem, however in the future what would the steps to revert Types if I felt i needed to.

The install of older version does not complete with newer version Deactivated, would I Delete the newer version? ...would this lose any data on my settings or is all/most of that residing in the Posts?

Hi Brent

When you upgrade/downgrade the plugin you are changing the plugin's PHP files.

All of the data, the options, settings, configuration of post types and custom fields etc., resides in the database and is unaffected.

It is possible—especially when making a big shift in plugin versions when downgrading—that the earlier version may not understand all of the settings stored in the database by a later version.

Also, be aware that Toolset plugins share common code, and that this gets updated from time to time. The practical implication is that you need to update plugins in tandem, and this week's update of Types and Views is a case in point, you must update both plugins to stay on the same common code version, updating only one could create problems.

If you are downgrading you would want to revert the other Toolset plugins to the version that was available at that same time.

Thanks, appreciate the detail.
Ideally I'll never need to even consider a rollback.
