Hi there,

This page uses Legacy, to be fair I like how it works great for us however I need to change some things about it.

I figured trying to recreate this in Blocks would give us a little more flexibility using conditional elements, just can't get me head round Legacy code conditions.

Sort of got there however is it possible to create a filter like this using Blocks?
Can't see how I would start this.

If not, I may be back for more help using Legacy conditional codes 🙂

Thank you.

Hi Pete

What exactly is it you are struggling with?

To add such a filter you would likely want to insert a Grid block (or columns block) to the search block and then add the individual filters to each grid cell.

You would need to use the button to insert a search filter (which brings up a similar dialog as in the classic editor) and then drag and drop those filters into their respective positions in the grid.

If you have something specific you need help with do let us know.

Hi Nigel,

Thanks for getting back to me. Please see attached.

Using Legacy seems more straightforward to me however if I insert a Grid, and a button...how does this work and relate to the View and act as a filter? This I don;t understand.

I just don't get how adding, as you suggested a button will the connect and work.

Thank you.

Sorry Pete, there was a glitch in our system and this thread has been lost in no-man's land until now.

Just looking again at your screenshot, it looks like you created a View without opting for Search in the wizard, so the button to add search filters is missing.

Highlight the View block and then in the sidebar settings enable Search for this View.

Then you will see buttons to insert search filters (which you would want to move into a grid or columns).
