Tell us what you are trying to do?

I am talking with the contractor i found through your website, we are at the stage that i am going to give credentials to the contractor, so he will try to help me with the feature i need to apply in the web.

Can i trust this person?

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Hello, I have not heard of a case where a contractor from our site was fraudulent or malicious, and our team would take action quickly if we found out that a contractor was behaving in that manner towards a client.

As you may know the developers you find listed in our portal are independent contractors, not employees of Toolset, so we do not guarantee their work or professional standards. There is always some level of risk involved, however, I think the risk is somewhat limited because our support forum is public and therefore any Users' complaints about these contractors is also public. I would treat it like hiring any other contractor, and I would do my "due diligence" to research the contractor in advance.
- I would search the support forums and the internet in general for this contractor's information.
- I would search for their name, email address, username, etc. to see if other Users have posted complaints or compliments about their service.
- I would want to see if they have participated in support tickets in the past.
- I would consider their communication style as well as the content of their posts. I would rather not work with someone who is inconsiderate or impatient.
- I would check to see if they have a github account, and look at other examples of their work.

I can understand being concerned about giving access to your live site early in the process when you do not have a relationship established, but I don't think live site access is necessary right now. Normally you will create a staging environment and migrate a clone of your live site into staging so the developer can verify their work before committing it to the live site. I suggest you do that now, since you will most likely need it later anyway. Give the contractor full access to the staging environment instead of the live site, and let them do their preliminary discovery work in staging. If the data itself is sensitive, you could migrate the site structure without migrating the full database. Use the Toolset Export / Import features to migrate the structures like custom post type, custom field, post relationships, and custom taxonomy definitions, without migrating the actual post contents. Then create some dummy content in the staging environment - just enough for the contractor to be able to see how everything works.

Hello

Thanks for an explanation 🙂

I have to do it on the other website, because the theme editor on my website does not let me edit the Toolset Form. I think you told me some time ago how to do it, but I do not really know how to implement it, so i am looking for someone to do it

I want to create a Contact form with different options to select from(which sends message to different email addresses). This will be: employment(A), housing(B), benefits(C), EU Settlement Scheme(D) and Other(E)]

The thing is that the messages have to go to different email depending what language

eg. English version A,B,C - goes to Email 1
English version D,E - goes to Email 2
Spanish version A,B,C - goes to Email 3
Spanish Version D,E - goes to Email 1
Polish Version A,B,C - goes to Email 4
Polish Version D,E - goes to Email 1

So it would be something like it is now

hidden link

+ drop down with the option to what department the message should go to depending of the language

Do you know roughly, how much would such a work of creating the form cost?

Many Thanks

Piotr

I don't know what contractor rates are like these days, but I would guess in the hundreds, not thousands. Less than $1000 USD.

Thanks for your answer

I will try to find one, I will see how it will go because the budget for it would not be more than couple hundreds. Thanks for your reply
